Last September we put up a route we knew would be a doozy. We had been eyeing up this roof since our first reconnaissance visit to the crag, and this was the most obvious line right through the middle where it was narrowest. It was an open project throughout the fall and winter of 2023 and early spring of 2024; however, no one was able to link together a clean ascent until our annual spring climb n’ camp the first weekend in May. Ivan bagged the first ascent, and the crag now had a new area, Panther Wall, and it’s first 5.12 route!
Since it has only had one ascent the precise grade is still up in the air (a or b), so if you climb it let us know what you think by emailing contact@climbyaha.ca.
Sex Panther 5.12a/b . . . 12 bolts, 25m
Try a heel hook. 60% of the time, it works every time.
FA: Ivan Freudenthaler, May 2024. RD: Adam Matias & Corbin Seymour, Sep 2023.

Here is an updated overview of the crag with Panther Wall added.
